Build Material Support Share Tool

Calculate build material support share from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return mass-weighted material-record support.

Biofabrication bookkeeping separates nominal geometry, deposition, material bases, layer heights and verification assertions. A local surface, fill fraction or dimensional residual describes supplied values rather than demonstrating an actual construct’s shape, material quality or biological suitability.

Return mass-weighted material-record support.

When to use this tool

Use Build Material Support Share when checking the stated benign build geometry, measurement, material or record convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter materialMasses, lotVerified, sourceMatched, quantityVerified. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read buildMass, supportedMass, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Return mass-weighted material-record support. Require aligned arrays and nonnegative masses; supportedMass sums rows with all lot/source/quantity flags, share divides by total buildMass or is zero with defined false.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Verification flags are assertions and repeated rows contribute again; no material identity, physical quality or release authorization is established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified manufacturing records, measured geometry and an appropriate complete process/material assessment for actual construct quality, performance or safe use.
