Description
Return material balance and recovery share.
Biofabrication bookkeeping separates nominal geometry, deposition, material bases, layer heights and verification assertions. A local surface, fill fraction or dimensional residual describes supplied values rather than demonstrating an actual construct’s shape, material quality or biological suitability.
Return material balance and recovery share.
When to use this tool
Use Biofabrication Material Consumed Recovered Balance when checking the stated benign build geometry, measurement, material or record convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter loaded, deposited, recovered, discarded. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read unaccounted, recoveryShare. Use the output convention below.
Return material balance and recovery share. Require loaded > 0 and nonnegative deposited/recovered/discarded; unaccounted = loaded-deposited-recovered-discarded, recoveryShare = recovered/loaded.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| loaded | Loaded | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| deposited | Deposited | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| recovered | Recovered | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| discarded | Discarded | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| unaccounted | Unaccounted | Required. Finite number. |
| recoveryShare | Recovery Share Unit: 1. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Over-accounting and recovery shares above one are retained; physical recovery quality, sterility and safe reuse are not established.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use verified manufacturing records, measured geometry and an appropriate complete process/material assessment for actual construct quality, performance or safe use.
