Description
Return dilution-recovered absorbance and reference ratio.
Optical and coupled-assay signals depend on blank subtraction, path length, dilution, calibration and linearity. A corrected ratio or local response slope can be calculated without establishing assay specificity, actual concentration or a biological/clinical result.
Return dilution-recovered absorbance and reference ratio.
When to use this tool
Use Diluted Absorbance Recovery Factor when checking the stated biochemical optical or response-correction convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter dilutedAbsorbance, dilutionFactor, referenceAbsorbance. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read recoveredAbsorbance, recovery. Use the output convention below.
Return dilution-recovered absorbance and reference ratio. Require dilutionFactor >= 1 and referenceAbsorbance != 0; recovered = dilutedAbsorbance*factor, recovery = recovered/reference.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- Signed absorbance and reference values are allowed; a ratio does not validate linear response or sample recovery.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use calibrated measurements and an appropriate validated assay model, including interference, linearity and uncertainty, for substantive concentration or biological conclusions.
