Description
Label supplied tympanometry pressure and convert daPa to Pa.
Hearing records depend on frequency, laterality, masking status, calibration and level reference. A no-response label differs from a measured threshold, while an air-minus-bone gap requires comparable test conditions. Device charge arithmetic and scalar signal offsets do not establish hearing status or suitable care.
Label supplied tympanometry pressure and convert daPa to Pa.
When to use this tool
Use Tympanometry Pressure Unit Label when you already have pressure, unit and need to label supplied tympanometry pressure and convert daPa to Pa.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter pressure, unit. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read label, pressurePa. Use the output convention below.
Accept Pa or daPa; preserve signed pressure in the label and multiply daPa by ten for pressurePa.1
The deca prefix is ten, so one daPa is ten Pa. This changes the pressure unit without changing its clinical meaning or reference.2
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| pressure | Pressure | Required. Finite number. |
| unit | Unit | Required. Text; one of "Pa", "daPa"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| label | Label | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| pressurePa | Signed pressure in Pa: daPa*10 or Pa unchanged; no clinical reference is chosen. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Pressure reference and calibration are supplied. No tympanogram, ear condition, instrument fitness or clinical interpretation is determined.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review original audiograms, instrument settings, test records and the complete clinical context. Use an appropriate professional assessment for interpretation; local unit conversions and supplied labels do not choose tests, presentation levels or intervention.
