Description
Arrange supplied Hangul and Hanja strings in a display pair.
Source records can preserve supplied scripts, translations, edition labels, leaf sides and historical date wording. Displaying two strings together does not establish equivalent readings, and preserving a numeral or reign-year label differs from converting a calendar. Source context is essential to interpretation.
Arrange supplied Hangul and Hanja strings in a display pair.
When to use this tool
Use Korean Hangul Hanja Display Order when you already have suppliedHangul, suppliedHanja, hangulFirst and need to arrange supplied Hangul and Hanja strings in a display pair.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter suppliedHangul, suppliedHanja, hangulFirst. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.

{
"input": {
"suppliedHangul": "한글",
"suppliedHanja": "漢字",
"hangulFirst": true
},
"output": {
"displayText": "한글 (漢字)"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Neither script content nor equivalent reading is checked. No transliteration, translation, language identification, authority matching or cultural interpretation occurs.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Consult original manuscripts, publications, catalogues and language or calendar authorities. Preserve uncertain readings and supplied source conventions when local labels cannot establish historical meaning, equivalence or chronology.
