Token Bucket Padding Efficiency Term Tool

Calculate token bucket padding efficiency term from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return supplied token-bucket padding efficiency.

Language-model bookkeeping separates scores, probabilities, dimensions, capacity and positional transforms. A local ranking, padding or coordinate operation can illustrate a model component without running a model, sampling a token, fitting calibration or demonstrating output quality.

Return supplied token-bucket padding efficiency.

When to use this tool

Use Token Bucket Padding Efficiency Term when checking the stated model-dimension, ranking, probability-prefix or local transform convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter lengths, bucketLength. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read actualTokens, allocatedTokens, efficiency, waste. Use the output convention below.

Return supplied token-bucket padding efficiency. Require whole bucketLength >= 1 and a nonempty length array within [0,bucketLength]; actualTokens sums lengths, allocated = rowCount*bucketLength, efficiency = actual/allocated, waste subtracts actual.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Length entries must be nonnegative whole counts; no tokenizer, batch packing, actual memory or execution speed is measured.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use a complete implementation with verified tensor/token conventions and appropriate model evaluation when actual inference, memory, sampling or quality results are required.
