Description
Parse real opening and closing dates with closing no earlier.
An artwork record can distinguish an edition, proof, accession, attribution, or display note. These labels preserve a stated catalog convention; they do not authenticate an object or establish ownership.
Parse real opening and closing dates with closing no earlier.
When to use this tool

{
"input": {
"openingDate": "2026-10-01",
"closingDate": "2026-10-10"
},
"output": {
"inclusiveDays": 10
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Both dates count, including a same-day exhibition; closed days, opening hours, attendance, and actual event dates are not verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
