Lesson Cleanup Time Floor Tool

Calculate lesson cleanup time floor from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return available cleanup time and supplied-floor slack.

Studio-class budgets allocate supplied time, turns, places and materials. Reserved quantities and shared work affect the reporting denominator, and a negative remainder or undefined per-person amount is useful bookkeeping information. These arithmetic checks do not assess learning quality, accessibility or whether a real class can safely perform an activity.

Return available cleanup time and supplied-floor slack.

When to use this tool

Use Lesson Cleanup Time Floor when checking the stated studio allocation, participation, capacity or time budget.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter session, instruction, setup, cleanupFloor. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read cleanupAvailable, floorSlack. Use the output convention below.

Return available cleanup time and supplied-floor slack. Require nonnegative session/instruction/setup/floor; cleanupAvailable = session-instruction-setup, floorSlack subtracts required cleanup.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative values report an overbooked schedule; actual cleanup adequacy and safe classroom practice are not established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the actual class plan, learner needs, usable resources and supervision requirements before organizing an activity.
