Critique Response Turn Time

Compare a recorded critique-response turn with an explicit speaking allowance on a shared timestamp scale.

Description

Compare a supplied critique speaking turn with a time allowance.

Studio records combine critique categories, time allowances, grid scales, nominal storage counts and permission assertions. A linear enlargement factor must be squared for area, while slot counts do not establish safe physical storage. Supplied rubric labels and participation records do not assess learning or artistic quality.

Compare a supplied critique speaking turn with a time allowance.

When to use this tool

Use Critique Response Turn Time when you already have turnStartSeconds, turnEndSeconds, speakingAllowanceSeconds and need to compare a supplied critique speaking turn with a time allowance.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter turnStartSeconds, turnEndSeconds, speakingAllowanceSeconds. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read durationSeconds, allowanceMarginSeconds. Use the output convention below.

Require end>=start and allowance>=0; return end-start and allowance-end+start.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • A negative margin means the supplied turn exceeds the allowance. No speaker, transcript, fairness or quality of critique is assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the actual classroom, materials, work, rubric and permissions. Use complete educational and physical assessment when local labels, counts or duration budgets cannot establish access, suitable instruction or safe studio arrangements.
