Description
Return origin-to-insertion line length and signed axis-force projection.
Anatomical diagrams and idealized models require explicit coordinate origins, axes, dimensions and indexing conventions. Translations, vector projections and simple shape formulas describe supplied geometry rather than identifying actual anatomy or determining a medical finding. A scaled drawing or ideal branching tree needs separate anatomical verification.
Return origin-to-insertion line length and signed axis-force projection.
When to use this tool
Use Muscle Origin Insertion Line Component when checking the stated diagram, coordinate, vector or ideal-shape convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter origin, insertion, force, axis. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read lineLength, axisForce. Use the output convention below.
Return origin-to-insertion line length and signed axis-force projection. Require three-component arrays, nonzero axis and distinct endpoints; normalize both directions for the projection, axisForce = force*their cosine.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- Force may be signed; this is a straight-line geometric model, not muscle recruitment, actual tissue force or safe loading.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use verified anatomical measurements and an appropriate complete spatial model; consult qualified health professionals for actual medical interpretation.
