Landmark Coordinate Scale Factor Tool

Apply supplied scale/origin/sign metadata to one landmark coordinate without anatomical identification.

Loading tool…

Description

Return an origin-subtracted scaled coordinate with optional axis reversal.

Anatomical diagrams and idealized models require explicit coordinate origins, axes, dimensions and indexing conventions. Translations, vector projections and simple shape formulas describe supplied geometry rather than identifying actual anatomy or determining a medical finding. A scaled drawing or ideal branching tree needs separate anatomical verification.

Return an origin-subtracted scaled coordinate with optional axis reversal.

When to use this tool

Use Landmark Coordinate Scale Factor when checking the stated diagram, coordinate, vector or ideal-shape convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter coordinate, origin, suppliedScale, reverseAxis. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read scaledCoordinate. Use the output convention below.

Return an origin-subtracted scaled coordinate with optional axis reversal. Require suppliedScale > 0; scaled = (coordinate-origin)*scale times the reversal sign.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The frame and scale are supplied; no landmark detection, image registration or clinical inference occurs.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified anatomical measurements and an appropriate complete spatial model; consult qualified health professionals for actual medical interpretation.
