Description
Display the range and test inclusive membership at both ends.
Source-scoped cultural and historical records preserve an edition, naming convention, or local identifier. Literal agreement is useful bookkeeping but does not establish interpretation, authenticity, or authority.
Display the range and test inclusive membership at both ends.
When to use this tool
Use Us Census Enumeration Age Band Label when you need a precise source-token or range consistency check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter age, lowerAge, upperAge. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read label, inBand. Inspect inBand before interpreting the associated values.
Require nonnegative integer age and ordered integer age bounds. Display the range and test inclusive membership at both ends.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| lowerAge | Lower Age | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| upperAge | Upper Age | Required. Safe integer. |

| inBand | In Band | Required. Boolean. |

"output": {

} Limitations and assumptions
- This applies supplied enumeration bounds rather than a historical census category, verified age, demographic interpretation, or eligibility rule.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
