Description
Return theoretical and factor-adjusted field capacity.
Agricultural machinery budgets combine supplied geometry, speed, efficiency and operating intervals. Nominal capacity differs from measured field performance; slip, headland losses and overlap can use different bases and must not be counted twice. Local hydraulic or static-load terms do not establish equipment safety or suitability.
Return theoretical and factor-adjusted field capacity.
When to use this tool
Use Implement Field Capacity Headland Term when checking the stated benign machinery geometry, capacity, flow or load convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter widthMeters, speedKmPerHour, fieldEfficiency, headlandFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read theoreticalHaPerHour, effectiveHaPerHour. Use the output convention below.
Return theoretical and factor-adjusted field capacity. Require nonnegative widthMeters/speedKmPerHour and efficiency/headland fractions in [0,1]; theoreticalHaPerHour = width*speed/10, effective multiplies efficiency*(1-headland).1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| widthMeters | Width Meters | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| speedKmPerHour | Speed Km Per Hour | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| fieldEfficiency | Caller’s independent efficiency fraction; avoid including headland losses already represented separately. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| headlandFraction | Headland Fraction Unit: 1. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| theoreticalHaPerHour | Theoretical Ha Per Hour | Required. Finite number. |
| effectiveHaPerHour | Effective Ha Per Hour | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Efficiency must not already include the same headland deduction; actual productivity, terrain and safe operation are not established.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use measured operating data, manufacturer specifications and qualified agricultural/engineering review for actual equipment selection, operation or safety.
