Description
Return their four-factor product.
Agrochemical comparisons depend on reference-equivalent, charge, temperature and method conventions. A neutralizing-value product, charge-basis saturation or two-point interpolation is a limited calculation; it does not establish a soil treatment need, actual material performance or valid analytical certificate.
Return their four-factor product.
When to use this tool
Use Liming Material Neutralizing Value Factor when checking the stated supplied chemical property, interpolation or metadata convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter grossMass, neutralizingFraction, finenessFraction, dryFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read effectiveEquivalent. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative gross mass and neutralizingFraction, plus fineness/dry fractions in [0,1]. Return their four-factor product.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| grossMass | Gross Mass | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| neutralizingFraction | Nonnegative relative neutralizing equivalent; may exceed one unlike the bounded fineness and dry fractions. Unit: 1. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| finenessFraction | Fineness Fraction Unit: 1. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| dryFraction | Dry Fraction Unit: 1. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| effectiveEquivalent | Effective Equivalent | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Neutralizing equivalent may exceed one relative to its reference; the result is not a lime requirement, soil pH forecast or application recommendation.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
