Farm Claim Parcel Overlap Area Term Tool

Calculate farm claim parcel overlap area term from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Loading tool…

Description

Return claim union, max(0,parcel-union) and max(0,union-parcel).

Agricultural claim records combine declared areas, exclusions, duplicate units and supporting-evidence flags. Avoiding double counting requires the correct intersection or exclusion overlap. A reconciled area/count or verified-token share is bookkeeping rather than legal validation of a claim.

Return claim union, max(0,parcel-union) and max(0,union-parcel).

When to use this tool

Use Farm Claim Parcel Overlap Area Term when checking the stated claim count, area or evidence-support convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter claimA, claimB, intersection, parcelArea. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read union, unclaimed, excess. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative claim and parcel areas with intersection within both claims. Return claim union, max(0,parcel-union) and max(0,union-parcel).1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Area overlap is supplied; an excess flags arithmetic over-allocation without detecting actual parcel intersections or valid claims.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review authoritative source records, parcel geometry and applicable program rules with the responsible professionals for actual claims or payments.
