Agri Environment Contract Year Proration Tool

Prorate against a caller-selected day-count basis.

Loading tool…

Description

Return eligible/reference fraction and annualAmount times that fraction.

Agricultural policy budgets distinguish supplied reference prices, eligible bases, marginal rates, match shares, caps and tax assumptions. Arithmetic can reconcile a stated scenario without determining what a real program permits or what anyone is owed. Percentage numbers, fractional rates and currency-per-unit rates must remain distinct.

Return eligible/reference fraction and annualAmount times that fraction.

When to use this tool

Use Agri Environment Contract Year Proration when checking the stated caller-defined policy budget, payment or valuation convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter annualAmount, eligibleDays, referenceDays. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read proration, payable. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative annual amount and whole days 0<=eligibleDays<=referenceDays with referenceDays>=1. Return eligible/reference fraction and annualAmount times that fraction.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The day-count convention and eligibility are supplied; no actual contract or payment right is determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Consult current authoritative program/tax documents and qualified financial/legal professionals for actual eligibility, obligations and entitlements.
