Description
Select denominator required when countExcused=true, otherwise required-excused, then divide attendance by it.
Extension-service records track resources, attendance, feedback and permission assertions. Distinct people and repeated records have different denominators, and a complete record does not prove valid consent or a high-quality service. Names such as verified describe caller-supplied evidence flags.
Select denominator required when countExcused=true, otherwise required-excused, then divide attendance by it.
When to use this tool
Use Farmer Field School Session Attendance Share when checking the stated extension-service record, participation or permission convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter attended, required, excused, countExcused. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read denominator, attendanceShare. Use the output convention below.
Require whole required>=1, excused<required and attended<=required-excused. Select denominator required when countExcused=true, otherwise required-excused, then divide attendance by it.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| attended | Attended | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| required | Required | Required. Safe integer; minimum 1. |
| excused | Excused | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| countExcused | True retains excused sessions in denominator; false removes them. Excused never adds to attended. | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| denominator | Denominator | Required. Safe integer. |
| attendanceShare | Attendance Share Unit: 1. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The flag controls denominator inclusion, not whether excused sessions count as attended; no attendance standard is determined.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review original service and participant records and the applicable permission/organizational rules for actual use or reporting decisions.
