Campaign Frequency Reach Increment

Update explicit reach with a supplied disjoint unique-person increment and compare compatible impression counts without identifying people.

Description

Update supplied reach and calculate nominal mean impression frequency.

Advertising records distinguish nominal reach, impressions, visibility thresholds, disclosure order and content budgets. New unique people are supplied rather than deduplicated, and caption duration alone does not establish accessibility. Code-point truncation can split a grapheme even when it meets a numeric text budget.

Update supplied reach and calculate nominal mean impression frequency.

When to use this tool

Use Campaign Frequency Reach Increment when you already have previousReach, newUniquePeople, totalImpressions and need to update supplied reach and calculate nominal mean impression frequency.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter previousReach, newUniquePeople, totalImpressions. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read updatedReach, meanFrequency, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Require safe nonnegative counts; add previousReach+newUniquePeople exactly with BigInt, require impressions>=updatedReach and export safely. Mean=impressions/reach when positive, otherwise zero with defined=false.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
previousReachPrevious ReachRequired. Safe integer; minimum 0.
newUniquePeopleNew Unique PeopleRequired. Safe integer; minimum 0.
totalImpressionsTotal ImpressionsRequired. Safe integer; minimum 0.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
updatedReachUpdated ReachRequired. Safe integer.
meanFrequencyImpressions/updatedReach when positive, otherwise zero placeholder.Required. Finite number.
definedFalse for zero updated reach, even if supplied impressions are nonzero.Required. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • New unique people are asserted rather than deduplicated. A zero-reach placeholder can coexist with impressions; no real audience, identity, viewability or campaign effectiveness is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review actual audience, media, creative and transaction records with the complete measurement and applicable disclosure rules. Verify definitions and rendering before interpreting local counts or flags as effectiveness, billable delivery or compliance.
